KALU & THE GRADIENT • FESTIVAL TRESK 2019 • KINO ŠIŠKA
In 2019, I was the VJ for KALU & The Gradient’s concert at Festival Tresk, held at Kino Šiška. My role involved creating and projecting live visuals that responded to the music in real-time.
Real-Time Animation Synchronization
For this performance, I used advanced VJ software capable of real-time audio analysis. This technology allowed the animations to react to the live music, with visuals changing in response to the beats, notes, and rhythms played by KALU & The Gradient. The synchronization aimed to create a cohesive and immersive audio-visual experience.
Techniques Employed
The VJ setup included a mix of pre-prepared animations and live-generated visuals. This combination ensured that the visual elements were both dynamic and responsive to the live performance. Techniques such as beat-matching and audio frequency analysis were employed to align the visuals with the music precisely.
Visual Elements
The visuals included a variety of elements, from abstract patterns to more structured visual narratives. These animations were designed to enhance the concert’s atmosphere and complement the emotional tone of the music. The use of color, motion, and visual effects was carefully planned to match the different segments of the performance.
